OPC stands for OLE for Process Controls, based on COM architecture it is a industry wide standard that allows open connectivity between different devices, software applications, control systems. OPC is currently supported by hundreds of leading companies and the number of developers and users is growing. In OPC the servers provide methods which other software packages, the clients, can access to exchange data, each control device, such as a PLC or DCS and instruments can exchange data. Prode OPC interface acts as OPC client, receives data on operating conditions and compositions from inline devices as a gas chromatograph sampling a natural gas mixture or DCS systems and returns in realtime a series of calculated values, Prode OPC interface acts as a bridge between the world of OPC compatible applications and Prode Properties, it exposes more than 30 different properties:

Simple and intuitive interface
The main view allows a complete control on OPC operations:
- on the window above the program shows errors and warnings which occurred during operations
- on the window below once a connection (with OPC server) has been established the program creates the list of the OPC ports, the connections state, the values read/written.

Diagnostics
During the operations of the OPC interface different events may occur. Prode OPC includes procedures for validating data by utilizing OPC Filters to accept only data with a certain quality and/or generating error / warning messages when the program detects a possible problem. When the problem is related to one (or more) OPC ports the program can use different colors to emphasize the row (in the list of OPC ports) which is related with the detected problem.
